SunDeck® was born from a real need: to create outdoor furniture that truly withstands the elements without compromising on design. In Costa Rica, where sun, rain, and humidity are constant, most options tend to deteriorate quickly or require ongoing maintenance. Our Story and Material Choice
Our story is driven by the search for a material that could solve these challenges at the core. After evaluating different options, we chose HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), a high-quality recycled material that doesn’t splinter, resists fading, and is unaffected by moisture or salt air. This allowed us to design products with the look of wood, but without its weaknesses, achieving the perfect balance between sustainability, durability, and timeless aesthetics.
